The Reading Seed Welcomes The Charity Club Langkawi!

WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE WELCOMING OUR SECOND CHARITY TO SUPPORT, THE CHARITY CLUB LANGKAWI!

The Charity Club Langkawi (CCL) is a registered NGO, located on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia whom support disadvantaged children and their families.

The Reading Seed will be assisting a ‘support school children’ program that we are calling School Support Project with CCL. This will include sponsoring six children from single parent families to go to school, whom may otherwise not be able to attend. The Reading Seed have proudly donated RM 3,097 and this funding will go towards school fees, school supplies, uniforms and lunches for the children.

The team at The Reading Seed believe that the core values of The Charity Club Langkawi reflect the goals we aim for and that education is a key element to positive change for these children.  Such educational projects provide the children with the greatest opportunity for sustainable learning and development, inevitably building a better life than what they currently have.

We have collaborated with Sheila Allum, CCL’s operations manager and secretary and she is thrilled TRS can help. The new partnership comes after connections with CCL from valued supporters of The Reading Seed were brought to the Board’s attention. The Board all in favour, that CCL was an organisation we would love to help.

We hope that this year will mark the start of an positive, on-going relationship with The Charity Club for the benefit of Langkawi students’ education and to create a brighter future for these children.

We can’t wait to introduce you to the children who will be supported through this project and provide regular updates with you all.
